The U.S.S. Alabama is a great place to take cub scouts on an overnight adventure in Mobile, Alabama. The cost of the overnight program includes a complete tour of Battleship USS ALABAMA (BB-60), Submarine USS DRUM (SS-228), Aircraft Pavilion, and other displays as well as your overnight accommodations. Please allow approximately 2 hours for your tour. You are free to arrange your itinerary to suit your travel plans. Check-in time is between 3 pm and 6 pm.

The overnight program is only available to organized youth groups with members between the ages of 6 and 18. There are NO COED FACILITIES AVAILABLE. All facilities will be shared by several groups. It is required that only male chaperones accompany boy groups and only female chaperones accompany girl groups. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. We encourage you to plan on one adult for every eight scouts.

“(The U.S.S. Alabama) COMMISSION POLICY IS THAT GROUP BERTHING (ALL SCOUTS AND ALL CHAPERONES) MUST BE ALL MALE OR ALL FEMALE (THE GENDER BEING DETERMINED BY THE FIRST RESERVATION FOR OVERNIGHTS ON A GIVEN DAY).” In other words, Mothers and sisters will not be able to sleep on the ship with their pack. Make plans to find a hotel room if traveling with the pack.
