Raccoon Mountain

Raccoon Mountain Caverns is Tennessee’s highest rated cave and is located just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee. They  invite you to tour their nationally recognized cave system, pan for gemstones or relax by a campfire while taking in the spectacular views of both Lookout Mountain and Raccoon Mountain.

The primitive tent sites are designed to appeal to those tent campers who want to “rough it” but who still appreciate access to all campground amenities. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table and is designed to comfortably accommodate one to two tents and up to four people. The bathhouse and city water faucets are within easy walking distance.

At the top of Raccoon Mountain, you will find a world-class mountain biking system. There are approximately 20 miles of trails to ride. Most trails are intermediate and advanced. A select few trails are beginner-friendly but that may only be about 10% of the trails.
